At ELFA Preschool, we cherish the special connection fathers share with their children. For Father\u2019s Day 2024, we specially curated child-father bonding activities to strengthen the priceless bond that they share. Read on below to find out more on how our ELFA fathers spent their special day with their little ones!<\/p>\n

Baking with Dad <\/strong><\/p>\n

ELFA Preschool @ Hougang prepared a fun and delicious activity for our children and fathers. Led by our educators, child and father had to put on their chefs\u2019 hats to prepare their very own cookies! Our fathers also received a personalised apron labelled \u201cDad\u201d to highlight their very special role in the lives of their children as they baked together with their children.<\/p>\n<\/div>

They had an exciting time mixing the batter, forming their very own cookie doughs, and savouring their sweet bakes at the end of it all. Our children and fathers also had the freedom to let their imaginations run loose, choosing their very own flavours and designs of their cookies. From chocolate cookies and Biscoff cookies to teddy bear-shaped cookies, our children and their fathers created cookies which were truly emblematic of their special bond.<\/p>\n

Giving Back with Dad<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kinderland Preschool @ Jurong took Father\u2019s Day to bring our fathers and children closer together through giving back to our community heroes, namely cleaners in our nearby vicinity. Child and father were given a shopping list of items such as canned food, facial tissues, and light snacks to purchase together. After purchasing the items, they had to work together to pack it in gift bags provided by the centre before our very own little ones distributed the gift bags to the cleaners in our vicinity.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Not only was this an exciting activity that got our children and fathers to shop together, it also helped to involve our fathers in inculcating the positive value of showing gratitude for our cleaners who work hard to create clean spaces for us. Truly a fitting activity for our children to do with their very own Superman!<\/p>\n

Solving Puzzles with Dad<\/strong><\/p>\n

ELFA Preschool @ Hougang got our fathers and children to rack their brains together to put together a jigsaw puzzle. What made it more special was that the jigsaw puzzle was an image of the child and father together!<\/p>\n

This collaborative task got our children to enhance their problem-solving skills and fine motor skills. At the same time, it created a memorable bonding experience by getting our children and their fathers to foster a sense of teamwork as well as communication.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Our children and father cheered each other on as they were completing the puzzle, and proudly brought home the jigsaw puzzle of their precious photo together.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank our fathers for spending this special day with us and giving us the opportunity to celebrate them and their special bond with their child.
