ELFA China has through its parent company, Crestar Education Group signed an agreement with MapleTree Investment to open an ELFA Preschool in the latter’s Nanhai Business City in Foshan, Guangdong. MapleTree will build the ELFA Foshan Preschool on a 5,400 square metre site in their development. The Nanhai Business City is a mixed use development project of over 600 mu with residential towers for 5,000 households, a VivoCity shopping mall offices and a 45,000 square metre International Learning Hub.
The preschool project in Foshan is part of Crestar’s latest investment of $13.2 million in two 18-classroom mega preschools in China’s Pearl River Delta River region. The second preschool will be built in Zhuhai for ELFA’s sister brand, Kinderland.
Crestar has signed an agreement with the Yanlord Land Group to operate the Kinderland preschool on a 4,650 square metre site in a high-end residential and commercial development in Zhuhai City’s Tang Jiawen New Town.
Both the ELFA Foshan and Kinderland Zhuhai preschools will accommodate 500 children each. They are expected to be operational by end 2016.
