ELFA Children @ Serangoon expressed their celebrative joy for the nation by contributing to a Big Heart with photos of them showing off their home-made Singapore flags with their parents.
Parents chipped in by submitting their family photos with the D.I.Y. flags for the teachers to create the heart-shape montage. The children also turned up in school in red and white attire on 7 August 2020, proudly carrying their self-made flags. They enjoyed a day of interesting activities organised by the teachers.
The celebration kicked off with the national anthem and recitation of pledge. To commemorate our nation’s 55th Birthday, the children drew birthday cakes and created cut-outs of the Merlion and the national flag, They also had fun singing National Day songs, dancing to the music of the ActiveSG workout 2020 and playing card games.
It was all smiles throughout the celebration as the children enjoyed every minute of the programme.
