At ELFA Preschools, sustainability comes to life through joyful, hands-on learning. This year, our young learners marked Earth Day and World Water Day with creativity, curiosity, and environmental care.

Little ones get their hands busy planting in celebration of Earth Day

At ELFA Preschool @ Jurong East, little eco-heroes planted flowers, crafted Earth-themed art, and rescued sea creatures in pretend ocean clean-ups.  It was a day full of discovery, laughter, and growing love for nature.

Children’s creativity blossom during Earth Day’s magical hour

Over at ELFA Preschool @ Hougang, the celebration took a creative twist with an Earth Day Costume Parade. Children arrived in imaginative outfits made from recycled materials—team efforts between parents and children. A thoughtful Earth Day presentation helped them understand the importance of caring for our planet, followed by a magical Earth Hour. With the lights  switched off and aircon paused, the children enjoyed shadow storytelling and creative play. Children learnt that fun comes with creativity even with minimal usage of electricity.

Pretend play of ocean cleanup helps children appreciate the importance of protecting marine life

Games like “Ocean Clean-Up,” “Pollution Patrol,” and “Recycling Drive” made learning fun and impactful. The day ended with beautiful Earth crafts to take home—a lasting reminder of their growing responsibility.

World Water Day: Every Drop Counts

Children had fun learning practical tips for daily water conservation

On World Water Day, our little Water Warriors at ELFA Preschool @ Jurong East explored water conservation through art, music, and storytelling. They coloured water droplets while learning its importance, sang water-saving songs, and learned practical tips for everyday conservation.

Children learned to ration water during handwashing when the centre’s water supply was temporarily switched off

The celebration continued at ELFA Preschool @ Hougang with a fun story about “Water Wally & Sally” and a lively water-saving dance-along. The children also took part in an obstacle course designed to teach smart water conservation? habits. Interactive experiments and a water-rationing activity further helped them understand the value of every drop.

Children learned how to reduce water wastage through role-playing life activities

From planting seeds to saving water, our young eco-warriors are learning that small actions lead to big change. At ELFA Preschools, we are proud to nurture a generation that is ready to protect our planet—one thoughtful step at a time.
