In May 2024, Crestar Education Group (CEG) sent 68 of its cluster and centre leaders from its four preschool brands – Kinderland, ELFA, NurtureStars, and Skool4Kidz for a retreat in Penang. The retreat aimed to facilitate knowledge and positive practice sharing, strengthen bonds between brands, and recharge our leaders to boost them in their daily responsibilities.

Banding our colours together through the long-awaited Leader’s Retreat 2024.

Held in Georgetown, Penang, the theme of the retreat was “Cultivating Excellence, Elevating Wellness”. Indeed, the wellbeing of our staff play a key role in empowering them to strive for excellence for their preschools back home.

The workshops equipped our centre leaders with the tools required to protect and improve their wellbeing levels while balancing their responsibilities in their centres. At the same time, it provided tips for centre leaders on personal representation as a key component of communication and branding to their team, parents and children. Lastly, it reinforced the service excellence standards of CEG along with pointers on how centre leaders can utilise them to serve those under their care.

Centre leaders also enjoyed a creative art bonding session, lively “Cookies Challenge,” and a a sure-win lucky draw. Fun, relaxing and insightful, it helped to imbue a strong sense of camaraderie and spirit for learning and excellence.

We would like to thank our leaders in embracing and sharing their knowledge and experience with their peers during this retreat. We look forward to our leaders bringing these newly learnt insights in their centres.

Ana Patricia, Centre Leader of ELFA Preschool @ Hougang, shared: “The retreat has refreshed my understanding on how we can attain service excellence by being accommodating and flexible. It gave me an opportunity to better myself when it comes to dealing with my staff, parents and even the children.”
