Learn more about ELFA preschool’s mandarin immersion curriculum, programmes, news & events

Established in 2000, ELFA Preschool operates a network of more than 25 preschools in Singapore and China, providing quality care and educational services for infants, toddlers and children between the ages of two months and six years old.

ELFA Preschool is an award-winning mandarin immersion preschool. We have been awarded for excellence in curriculum quality and school management in the most populous native-speaking Mandarin country, China. Our quality curriculum is jointly developed by a team of early childhood specialists from Singapore, together with a panel of advisors from China, headed by Professor Zhu Shi Yuan, the former Head of the Early Childhood Department at Beijing Normal University.

ELFA Preschool’s unique integrated thematic story-based approach emphasises the development of Chinese oral language and reading skills through robust Mandarin immersion programmes spanning from Infancy to Kindergarten 2. Our curriculum is in line with Singapore MOE guidelines. Impressively, 100% of our Kindergarten 2 children passed the prestigious Youth Chinese Test (*YCT) Level II and confidently spoke Mandarin fluently. *YCT assesses the ability of non-native primary and secondary school students to apply the Chinese language in their daily lives. In line with the Chinese story-based curriculum, moral values are promoted through curated stories to shape children’s character positively from young.

What sets ELFA Preschool apart? Our childcare centre in Singapore and China has a well-researched curriculum and programmes developed by our team of early childhood specialists. Our fully immersive Mandarin immersion learning environment in the preschools makes ELFA stand out. From Creative art to Chinese Speech & Drama and Higher Order-Thinking Maths, which are all conducted in Mandarin, their children learn through participation in fun and engaging activities. This holistic approach equips young learners academically while building on their creativity and social skills.
