Children of ELFA Preschool @ Serangoon participated in World Water Day on 22 March 2018, by experiencing water rationing first hand in a simulated exercise. The taps at the centre were turned off for six hours and the children only had two 1.5 litres of bottled water to use for their daily routines such as brushing their teeth and washing their hands.

The children learned about water conservation and the need for good water usage habits. Even days after the exercise the children opted to use the water from their bottles and those left from the previous day. Children constantly reminded one another of how precious water is for Singapore and for everyone.
