At ELFA, we deeply value the unique bond between mother and child, creating a nurturing atmosphere for both our children and their mothers. This Mother’s Day, we went all out to honour and celebrate the mothers of our cherished students. Read on below to find out more about how ELFA celebrated its mothers for Mother’s Day 2024!
Un-fly-gettable Day at Bird’s Paradise
ELFA Preschool @ Hougang invited all mummies for a fun-tastic time at Bird’s Paradise with their little ones. ELFA Preschool @ Hougang curated bonding activities for mother and child such as windmill making, a custom book called “I Spy” for mother and child to spot out the different birds at the aviaries, and a special performance by the children for their beloved mummies.
The children also presented a sweet, personalised bracelet that they had designed for their mummies beforehand too. Children and mothers of ELFA Preschool @ Hougang had an amazing time bonding through these activities at Bird’s Paradise with rapturous laughter heard throughout the day!
Little Chefs – Delightful Breakfast for Mummy
For ELFA Preschool @ Jurong, this Mother’s Day was especially significant as this was the first parent-child bonding event since the recent opening of the centre. What better way to celebrate this occasion then to get our little chefs to whip up a heartwarming breakfast for their mummies. Children of ELFA Preschool @ Jurong prepared delicious bowls of yoghurt adorned with fruits and nuts, starting off Mother’s Day with filled bellies and hearts.
Children of ELFA Preschool @ Pandan Valley also prepared a delicious salad for their mothers to enjoy too. They selected their mother’s favourite ingredients from a wide selection including cabbages, corn, blueberries, and carrots! They then had a great time bonding with each other over their special salad.
Our little ones at ELFA Preschool @ Jurong ended the special day off with a sweet serenade of “I Love You” to their super mummies. The joyous melody filled the preschool with warmth and love, as mothers beamed happily at the genuine affection expressed by their children.
Baby Olympics and Child-Mother Painting
Mothers of our infant children at ELFA Preschool @ Hougang had a unique Mother’s Day celebration – a Baby Olympics with their very own little one! They started the day off taking part in warm up exercises along with their babies, and cheered on their little ones as they took part in a baby race.
After an exciting baby race, children and mothers of ELFA Preschool @ Hougang took part in a painting activity. Both child and mother worked together to produce magnificent artworks to take home this Mother’s Day!
Sweet Treats for Our Sweet Mummies
ELFA also prepared tokens of appreciation to thank our mothers for their unwavering support and partnership in the development and nurturing of their child. The tokens of appreciation included a set of macarons, as well as a heartfelt thank you letter, expressing our gratitude for their invaluable role in the ELFA family.
However, the most touching inclusion in the gift set was undoubtedly the personalised well wishes to the mothers from the children themselves. Each child took the time to craft a handwritten letter or drawing for their mother, expressing their love and appreciation in their own unique way. These heartfelt letters served as a poignant reminder of the profound love and bond between mother and child and their families.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our mothers for joining us on this special day, allowing us to celebrate them and their unique bond with their child. We hope they had a wonderful time and look forward to welcoming them to even more celebrations next Mother’s Day!
