Over 600 children and parents gathered at the Singapore Institute of Management Sports Hall on 10 October 2026 for the Kinderland and ELFA Sports Fiesta 2026. The event brought families together for a morning of physical activities, teamwork and shared experiences.
Celebrating Movement and Teamwork
Kinderland Preschool @ Hougang debuted its cheerleading performance, adding excitement to the marching band showcase.
The event began with a lively performance by the Kinderland Marching Band and Colour Guard, featuring children from Kinderland Academy @ Yio Chu Kang and Kinderland Preschools from Hougang, Marine Parade and Pandan Valley. Children from Kinderland Preschool @ Hougang also debuted their cheerleading performance as part of the Marching Band.
Following the musical showcase, Kindergarten 1 children from Kinderland and ELFA took part in a variety of activities designed to develop physical skills, confidence and teamwork through movement and play.
Children practised cooperation and communication while working together during the Bouncy Caterpillar Race.
Families joined their children in a warm-up segment led by Mr Sakurai Shun and Ms Momoka Otsuka from JACPA Singapore, before children raced off on the “Bouncy Caterpillar Race”, a new addition to this year’s Sports Fiesta. The race saw children synchronising their movements, while encouraging children to cooperate and work as a team to cross the finish line.
Parents and children shared joyful moments during the Parent-Child Dance Jam.
Parents then joined their children in a parent-child “Dance Jam”, conducted by Crestar Learning Centre. The segment brought families together through music and movement, creating opportunities for parents and children to bond.

A key highlight was the preschool gymnastics formation showcase conducted by instructors from JACPA Corporation, Japan’s largest preschool sports academy and longstanding partner of Kinderland and ELFA preschools. Children participated in formations inspired by sushi, rainbows and pyramids, demonstrating their balance, coordination and teamwork.
For our children from ELFA Preschool, the Sports Fiesta was an opportunity to put their physical and social skills into practice beyond the classroom. Through movement, teamwork and share experiences with their families, the event reinforced ELFA’s commitment to holistic early childhood education, while creating lasting memories for children and parents.
ELFA children proudly displayed their medals, celebrating their participation and achievements at the Sports Fiesta!
