ELFA is steeped in the Chinese language and culture while helping to shape your child’s morals and values. The emphasis of ELFA’s unique bilingual story-based approach is your child’s Chinese language acquisition. What sets ELFA apart is the integrated thematic learning through Chinese festivals such as Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival, on top of the usual festivals celebrated in Singapore. Designed by a panel of advisors from China and Singapore, the integrated thematic approach is in line with the guidelines by Ministry of Education, Singapore. Our learning environment complements the curriculum and is purposefully planned to boost early language exposure and develop your child’s interest in Mandarin.
Our children are also exposed to creative Chinese-inspired art forms such as calligraphy, Chinese opera mask painting and traditional paper cutting craft. These activities sharpen fine motor skills, strengthen attention span, and enhance the sense of aesthetics in young ones. Coupled with this infused-learning, children are also exposed to other cultural activities like Chinese creative writing, lion dance and tea appreciation. ELFA prepares our preschoolers for the HSK-YCT paper at Kindergarten 2 to benchmark their readiness for Singapore primary school Chinese syllabus.
