Nine children from Nursery to Kindergarten 2 at ELFA Preschool @ Hougang opened the International Symposium on “The Present and Future of International Chinese Education in the Digital Intelligence Era” with a moving song and dance performance on Filial Piety.
The symposium, organised by Crestar HSK Education and Assessment Centre (Crestar HSK) and the School of International Chinese Studies, ECNU, brought together educators and practitioners from around the world. During the performance, the children shared their understanding of filial piety and how they could practise this virtue in daily life.

Our little emcees giving an introduction of their performance.
Mrs Wong, mother of Reagan (K2) and Meagan (Nur), expressed her joy:
“This is the first time they have performed on the same stage together, and it has been an incredibly special experience. We loved watching them practise at home. The experience boosted their stage confidence, taught them perseverance, and showed them that big goals are achieved through consistent effort. Most importantly, by sharing the stage, they learned the value of teamwork—relying on each other and working together to create something meaningful.”

The children performed confidently in front of the audience.
Mrs Yeo, mother of Darius (K1), also shared her appreciation:
“Darius has improved so much over the past year as his teachers patiently trained and encouraged him. I am grateful to ELFA for providing opportunities like this, where children can perform and grow in confidence.”

The audience were impressed at our children’s stellar performance.
The children performed with confidence and joy, leaving a lasting impression on the international audience.
