High-touch surfaces are disinfected three times a day, toys are sanitized after every use, and air purifiers and UVC lights are used throughout the centre. 3. A Strong Bilingual Curriculum

ELFA Preschools adopt an integrated thematic approach with a strong emphasis on Chinese language acquisition, in line with the Ministry of Education’s guidelines. Our story-based curriculum is jointly localised by advisors from China and Singapore. It is led by Prof Zhu Shi Yuan, former Head of the Early Childhood Department at Beijing Normal University.  The curriculum spans six key learning areas.  These are Language and Literacy, Numeracy, Aesthetic and Creativity, Physical, Social Emotional, and Environmental Awareness.

Our ELFA Learning Framework also connects children to real-world experiences through thematic teaching, children’s literature, and Chinese moral stories, helping shape positive values and character. Chinese Speech and Drama classes immerse children in a culturally rich environment, building confidence in language mastery. Integrated learning also introduces higher mathematical concepts to older children, making learning meaningful and engaging.

4. Confidence Through Competitions and International Assessments

ELFA K2 children annually participate in the HSK International Chinese Proficiency Assessment. This assessment covers listening, reading, and writing, to benchmark their skills and foster a love for continuous improvement. They also take part in the HSK Speech & Talent Competition, where past ELFA participants have achieved top awards, demonstrating their exceptional abilities in both language and performance.
